New kitty and old kitty problems?

People think I'm nuts when I say female cats are just straight bitches! Seriously, I have 13 cats and only 3 of them are female because they drive me flippin nuts! Calicos tend to be the worse too :/ Your older cat won't kill your kitten or even do to much damage, they get over.... It might take MONTHS (I think 6 months is plenty of time). I would switch the rooms the cats are in - put the kitten in the rest of the house and put the older cat in the room the kitten was in. That way she can smell his scent and give it another couple days, maybe a week and then let em out together when you'll be home for a while, but they should be fine... Hissing and batting is normal.
