Shamanic rituals to honor killed prey?
I've read a couple of times about 'shamanic' (I mean that as a broad term, not only the american natives, to clarify) rituals practiced by hunters to thank the animal he took down for its sacrifice. You know, make sure its spirit passed over correctly so that the prey wasn't angry with the hunter. I'm interested in knowing how this was done in more detail and how the practice was handled differently world wide, back when we were still hunters and gatherers, and how it is done by 'nature people' who still do this. Actually finding reliable info is a little difficult though..
