Magic the Gathering - Vigilance Question?

So the preeminent captain is declared as an attacker, so is tapped. Then his attack trigger goes off, putting the captain of the watch onto the battlefield, tapped and attacking. Her trigger goes off and creates 3 soldier tokens, not tapped or attacking. Since Preeminent captain attacked before it had vigilance, and makes the captain tapped to attack, they both are tapped, but here soldier friends aren't.
