Does advantage hurt my kitty?

I've been noticing that everytime I try to apply Advantage on my cat, she runs away. I apply it a few hours after I give her a bath, and she usually recognizes the sound of the wrapper and hides. Is this because it stings? She wasn't like this when she was younger, she's been doing this for a few months now. My cat is a two year old spayed female, if that has anything to do with it. Also, she's not a big fan of baths but will put up with them and allow us to wash her.
